Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said it may be best for his body to give it some rest as his game suffers from ensuing fatigue.
Kobe Bryant would play every minute of every NBA game if he could. There was a time when he came close to doing just that in a given season.

But life in one’s late 30s is hardly conducive to big minutes like that, and as the San Antonio Spurs would tell you, occasionally resting your aging stars is a necessity in such a long season.
As his game suffers amid fatigue, Bryant recently admitted that he must consider benching himself in order to keep up with a long season.
“I don’t have much of a choice if the body is feeling the way it’s feeling right now,” Bryant told Yahoo Sports.
“You got to be smart. You got to make sure you get enough return on your investment. With the amount of work that I do and put into my body and to get my body ready, for it to be sore as it is right now, sometimes you do have to consider sitting down.”
Bryant has played the 10th-most minutes in the NBA on a Lakers team that is going nowhere. One can hardly blame him for taking some time off and saving his body for the long haul.
