After the debacle that was Week 16, are the Buffalo Bills now out of the running for the Super Bowl?
Heading into Week 16 of the NFL season, there was a chance that the Buffalo Bills could make the AFC Playoffs for the first time since the 1999 season. After the events of Saturday, though, the journey was pretty difficult.
Going into Sunday the Bills needed to win their last two regular season games to get into the mix. While their Week 17 match up will be difficult in the form of the New England Patriots, their Week 16 contest seemed simple enough, since it was against the lowly Oakland Raiders.
Well it wasn’t as simple as it looked, as the Bills were dropped by the Raiders, 26-24. With that loss, it will be yet another postseason for the Bills where they will be sitting home and evaluating directions to go for next season.
To help them get started with this, they need a quarterback, desperately. That would be a good place to start.
So going into the final match up with the Patriots this week the Bills have a record of 8-7, a sign that they’re at least trending upwards. There’s just a few more pieces to fill on this team and they could find themselves back in the playoffs sooner rather than later.
