Losers: Philadelphia Eagles

First they lost to Washington. Then the Dallas Cowboys manhandled the Indianapolis Colts.

And so ends their playoff hopes.

After a very promising run, they have lost the last three games, all against conference foes and two against divisional foes. The only thing worse might be if the Eagles manage to lose to the New York Giants next week.

Because that would finish the season with a four game skid, an inexcusable state of affairs.

What did them in? The injury to Nick Foles? Some shaky offensive line play? Inconsistent defense? The Curse of Sanchez?

All of the above (although I made up the last one).

This is a team which went in the tank though. So, whatever the reason, this is a huge collapse, and one which Eagles fans will not be happy with. Head coach Chip Kelly will be taking a long look at what went wrong and rebooting for next year.

What might be worse is, they don’t appear to have an answer at quarterback and are probably too far back to get a chance at one of the top ones in this draft, most notably Kelly’s former quarterback, Marcus Mariota.
