3. DeAndre Levy, linebacker, Detroit Lions

What really hurt DeAndre Levy is the lack of attention he receives. Of course, playing behind a player of Ndamukong Suh’s caliber will do that.

Levy is a versatile linebacker with the speed to fly all over the field and hang with tight ends, while having an impressive nose for the football.

In 2014, Levy has racked up an incredible 140 tackles — which ranks third in the NFL and is only five behind the NFL leader, Luke Kuechly — 2.5 sacks and an interception, as he emerges as a true leader for the Detroit Lions’ defense.

When you look at the outside linebackers who made the list, it is hard to argue Justin Houston and Von Miller making the squad, but Levy likely deserved the nod over players like Clay Matthews and Tamba Hali. Levy has been more consistent than Elvis Dumervil throughout the season, as well.
