C.J. Anderson was understandably not happy about the way his team played on Monday night and he gave reporters more or less the same answer for every question posed to him after the game. If it sounds familiar, well, thanks for asking. Actually, Anderson had a few more words in his answer than Lynch did after the Seahawks beat the Cardinals on Sunday night and answered every question with “thanks for asking.”
Anderson’s main line was “we played terrible”, but he mixed it up a bit, adding that the team needed to look at tape, get better and get ready for next week. He even changed the order of some of those words. Clearly far more verbose than Lynch.
But Anderson felt bad and so he apologized on Tuesday for his answers.
"“I apologize 4 my actions towards the media yesterday. I was very frustrated in the way I played. I’m not that type of guy #neveragain,” Anderson tweeted. “As a player you take the good and the bad you move on. We will play and get better you have my word.” (via Pro Football Talk)"
It might have been funnier if he’d added that the Broncos played terrible. Just one more time.
Either way, the Broncos’ playoff fate and the number two seed is still firmly within their grasp, they just need to play a lot less terrible this Sunday against the Raiders.
