Kevin Love once received a stapler for Christmas. He and John Wall tell the stories of the most disappointing gifts they ever received as the NBA gets ready for another full day of holiday action.

Somebody in the Love family needs to seriously reassess their gift-giving abilities. It’s all in the past, sure, but who on earth gives a kid a stapler?

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

That’s the kind of gift that you give if you are going out of your way to give something terrible or if you are…just enthusiastic about office supplies, I guess. But on the list of bad gifts you might hear about, from NBA players or anybody else, that ranks way up there.

Given the choice between a stapler and no gifts at all for a college kid, I’m calling the stapler given to Kevin Love the worst gift and it’s not really that close. Not only was John Wall in college when he got nothing, but he was the consensus top guard in the country at the time as well. C’mon, what do you get that guy, a gift card?

Also, Steven Adams once received underwear. We’re just going to bypass that bit of information, mmmmk?
