Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch entered Beast Mode in the fourth quarter of his team’s eventual 35-6 destruction of the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
With 10:29 left in the game, Lynch took a handoff from Russell Wilson and rushed 79 yards to the house in perhaps the greatest play of the 2014 NFL season.
The play was reminiscent of Lynch’s 67-yard touchdown run against the New Orleans Saints in the 2011 playoffs, as Lynch carried defenders and pushed them off him on Sunday as he did three years ago.
The rush was so good that it is now getting the same treatment as his 67-yard rush did three years ago: it’s been remixed with Super Mario Bros. music.

The Super Mario Bros. remix is well deserved for Lynch. He is a truly special talent, as both of these runs show. His combination of power, speed and vision is unmatched in the NFL today.
Lynch finished the game against Arizona with 113 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, upping his season total to, 1,246 yards and 12 touchdowns on on 266 carries.
