The Best SG in the NBA

James Harden may not play great on ball defense, and he may take a lot of risky shots in games, but he’s the best shooting guard in the NBA.

The 25-year-old already has three 40-point games in the month of December, and eight 30-point games throughout the season.

Harden leads the NBA in scoring with 27.0 points per game, is ranked 10th when it comes to assists (7.0 per game) and is fifth in steals per game (2.0 per game). When the Rockets take the floor, Harden is the best player no matter what team they play against. The style of his game, getting to the free throw line specifically, gets the Rockets into the bonus quicker allowing for more points, and it helps the flow of the game.

The Rockets can take a lot of shots from the perimeter because they know Harden is always going to get easy scores.

Every time I watch Harden play I think and look back at the trade that the Thunder made getting Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Martin, and two first round picks and I say to myself man the Thunder got gypped. To think Harden, Durant, and Westbrook would all play on the same team in the prime of their careers together is an insane thought to have.

Well now that Harden’s in Houston, it’s better for the Rockets because they have the best shooting guard in the league.
