Matchups, Matchups, Matchups

The biggest reason why the Houston Rockets are now my favorite to make the 2015 NBA Finals is because of the match ups that they will eventually have to face in the Western Conference Playoffs.

With a frontline that is going to have either Dwight Howard, Tarik Black, Donatas Motiejunas or Terrence Jones on the floor at any given time means that they will have the size and strength to matchup with teams with stout front lines such as the Memphis Grizzlies with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, and the San Antonio Spurs with Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter.

Also on the perimeter with their great defenders in Trevor Ariza and Patrick Beverly means that they will have the personnel to guard deadly players such as the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. As well as the dynamic duo in Oklahoma City of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Again, having James Harden on the court and Dwight Howard put the Rockets with one of the best one-two punches that any team in the Western Conference has.
