Rory McIlroy’s new bod is drawing questions from fellow golfers
According to CBS Sports golf writer Kyle Porter, some people, including an anonymous professional golfer believe Rory McIlroy might be getting too ripped, not in the hitting-the-bong way, in the hitting-the-weights-too-hard way.
In an email exchange with some golf writers and pro golfers, a golfer had this to say about the new face of golf and Ireland’s golden boy:
"“Plus, I’m concerned with how hard he’s hitting the weights. He’s getting big, and it could affect his game, the way it did with Tiger. Have you seen him on Twitter? He’s ripped. The guy weighs 160 and hits it 340 yards. How much bigger does he need to be?”"
While that’s good question for the longevity of McIlroy’s career, we’re comparing his workout routine to THE greatest golfer of all-time and the main reason golf is still relevant today, Tiger Woods.

Tiger’s career has been marred by injuries and his physical fitness may be the cause of his body’s physical decline. Even so, I don’t think we can say “because Tiger had this happen to him, it’s going to happen to Rory because they look like they workout the same way.”
Is Rory going to be crushed by a sex scandal, too? Are we predicting that will happen to Rory now?
Porter also makes a good point that McIlroy has gotten buff over the course of the best stretch of golf of his career, a stretch where he won two majors.
I think McIlroy’s physical fitness is going to be fine, y’all.
