5. Can The Running Game Remain Consistent?
C.J. Anderson has been a pleasant surprise for the Denver Broncos this season, and he has remained consistent so far in every game that he has received a large role.
While the consistency that he has shown thus far has been very refreshing, there is still some question as to whether or not he can remain consistent in his first ever NFL playoff appearances. Once the NFL season switches from regular season action to the playoffs, things get much tougher for players. Anderson has the talent to continue this type of play into the playoffs, but it is still a question mark.
Peyton Manning can only do so much with his arm, and having the type of ground attack that Anderson has provided has been huge for him. The Broncos have a great offensive line situation for Anderson as the playoffs approach, and barring an injury he will remain the workhorse on the ground.
It’s going to be interesting to see what type of a role he plays for the Broncos moving forward. He has obviously gained Manning’s confidence, and the coaching staff is very confident in him as well. Denver will have to run the football consistently if they want to win a Super Bowl, or even get to the AFC Championship game.
