The Denver Broncos has had a solid 2014 season after a disappointing appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII. While Manning hasn’t had quite the prolific season that he had in 2013, his popularity is just as high.
According to the Jersey Report, which tracks the sales of NFL jerseys at DICK’s Sporting Goods stores around the nation and online, Manning has the highest selling jersey of the 2014 NFL season.
The Jersey Report defines the season as starting after the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Broncos are also the highest selling team of the 2104 NFL season so it isn’t incredibly surprising that the team’s biggest star would be leading the way in that regard.
There is some interesting story line plots behind Manning on the list as well. Coming at No. 2 for the highest selling jerseys of the season is Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, the player drafted to replace Manning.
At third is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, the player who defeated Manning in Super Bowl XLVIII. Astonishingly, Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel is the fourth highest selling jersey of the season.
