29. (TIE) Charlotte Hornets: 0 Points

Established In the NBA: 1988
Former Cities/Names: Charlotte Bobcats
Greatest Player In Team History: Larry Johnson (Close Second: Glen Rice)

In 26 years in the NBA this franchise has yet to amass a single point according to this point breakdown. Meaning it hasn’t won a division or conference championship and hasn’t come close to winning a championship. This franchise is still relatively young, but it has been one of the worst teams in the league since it entered the NBA.

29. (TIE) Memphis Grizzlies: 0 Points

Established In the NBA: 1995
Former Cities/Names: Vancouver Grizzlies
Greatest Player In Team History: Zach Randolph

The Grizzlies, like the Hornets, haven’t scored a point in this point system in their history as a franchise yet. Although they are one of the NBA’s better teams so we’ll cut them a little slack. As a team the Grizzles haven’t won a division or anything else in either Memphis or in its original home Vancouver.

28. Minnesota Timberwolves: 0.20 Points

Established In the NBA: 1989
Former Cities/Names: N/A
Greatest Player In Team History: Kevin Garnett

The Timberwolves come as the 28th best franchise in NBA history. Which means for a franchise that has been around for 25 years they haven’t seen much success. They have only won their division once and haven’t accomplished anything bigger than that in their history. That said, they have put together a few competitive squads over the last two decades.

27. Los Angeles Clippers: 0.22 Points

Established In the NBA: 1970
Former Cities/Names: Buffalo Braves, San Diego Clippers
Greatest Player In Team History: Bob McAdoo (Close Second: Chris Paul)

The Los Angeles Clippers, LA’s other team, comes in ranked just ahead of the Timberwolves all-time. In 44 years of existence the franchise has won its division just two times. However, the team is experiencing the best stretch of success in franchise history over the last few years thanks to Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Those players will determine if the Clippers can climb this list in the future.

26. New Orleans Pelicans: 0.41 Points

Established In the NBA: 2002
Former Cities/Names: New Orleans Hornets, New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets
Greatest Player In Team History: Chris Paul

The Pelicans have not seen much success in franchise history. But for participating in just 12 NBA seasons so far, they are ranked ahead of four other franchises so at least they have that to be proud of. They have won only a single division championship in team history, but the good news for this franchise is that the best has yet to come — at least they’re hoping.
