What five bold predictions can be made about the NFC North-deciding Week 17 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions?

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are both sitting at 11-4 with the NFC North division coming down to the wire in a Week 17 matchup between the two teams.

Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford have two of the highest powered offenses in the entire league, and they are poised to face off in a late afternoon game at historic Lambeau Field. The first game between these two teams earlier this season was a defensive battle, with the Lions taking the win 19-7 at home. Green Bay is looking to get revenge for that loss, but the Lions are looking to steal the division away for the first time since the 1993 season.

Needless to say, the Detroit fan base has been thirsting for a division title for quite some time. This years team is the best chance they have, but they have lost 24 straight games in Green Bay.

Those numbers make this an extremely intriguing matchup to keep an eye on with plenty of stories to talk about. Detroit is going into one of the most difficult places to win, but they are going in as a team that many think has a good chance to come out victorious. The Packers have had major issues with fast and athletic defenses like Detroit has, and the Lions have to find a way to take advantage of that.
