The Boston College Eagles looked as if they were in prime position to defeat Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl, until this happened.
Oh, Boston College, how did you let all of this happen?
At one point on Saturday in the Pinstripe Bowl, Boston College looked as if they were going to cruise to a win over Penn State, holding a 21-7 lead at one point. Well Penn State would fire all the way back to send the game to overtime, where Boston College got the ball first.
They did all they were supposed to do on their first possession, getting the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. Wide receiver David Dudeck made an incredible play for the score, so after Boston College nailed the extra point through, Penn State would have to replicate.
There was just one problem, though. Just moments after kicker Mike Knoll knocked through a field goal to put Boston College up 24-21, he completely shanked the point after.
So, yes, you can guess what happened from here. Penn State took the ball on their possession and not only scored a touchdown, but they knocked through the extra point to get the one-point win.
Harsh!
