The New York Jets are reportedly already reaching out to potential head coaching and general manager candidates, with Rex Ryan and John Idzik likely being canned in a few days.

No one believes that Rex Ryan or John Idzik will return to the New York Jets next season.

In fact, the writing has been on the wall for weeks that the Jets will be moving on from Ryan and likely Idzik, as well. With the latest report, it is clearer than ever that the Jets are ready to move on.

According to Dom Cosentino of NJ.com, Jets consultant Charlie Casserly, the former general manager of the Washington Redskins and Houston Texans, is reaching out to potential candidates for the Jets head coaching and general manager jobs.

It seems to be an obvious indication that Ryan and Idzik will be out following Week 17.

That news has to make New York Jets fans happy.

The report also claims that Rex Ryan has already cleaned out his office, so he seems to be aware that he will be searching for a new job when the offseason rolls around. The question will then be whether Ryan gets another crack at a head coaching job in 2015.
