In the final week of the NFL regular season, the Buccaneers watched the New Orleans Saints come from behind to earn a 23-20 win. The loss ended a dreadful season for the Tampa Bay fans, who watched their team go 0-8 at home, while setting the team up for an opportunity to turn the franchise around.
The loss clinched the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
With the No. 1 pick on their hands, Tampa Bay will have the chance to select any player they would like and you would have to believe they will give strong consideration to the top two quarterback’s in this year’s draft — Marcus Mariota of the Oregon Ducks and Florida State Seminoles star Jameis Winston.
Shortly after the Buccaneers clinched the No. 1 pick, the Tennessee Titans clinched the No. 2 selection.
There will be a very real possibility that the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft class will be drafted in the first two picks. Of course, there is a lot of time between now and the 2015 NFL draft, so let the speculation and smokescreens begin.
