New York Giants Not Expected To Fire Tom Coughlin
By Josh Hill
The New York Giants are hoping to turn things around next season after two losings years under Tom Coughlin, but the veteran head coach is expected back in 2015.
When the New York Giants flamed out last season, many believed that Tom Coughlin needed to be fired. Either the Giants are so bad that they’ve literally numbed their fans to anger or fans are getting patient, but Tom Coughlin is in less hot water this year than he was last year.

We can probably credit the excitement of Odell Beckham Jr as something that has saved Tom Coughlin’s job this season and bought him another year. Other factors have been in play as well, but the outstanding rookie season Beckham put together has clearly gone a long way.
According to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network, the New York Giants are not expected to fire Tom Coughlin and will give him one more year as head coach.
The leash won’t be very long for Coughlin, but he’s clearly someone that the team respects despite all of the losing. The Giants have historically been a team with low head coaching turnover, as the Mara’s — like their relatives the Rooney’s — tend to stick with a head coach longer than most other teams would.
Coughlin’s last season may very well be in 2015 but one thing we know for certain is that 2014 will not be.
