In what will likely be Rex Ryan’s last game in New York, neither team, the New York Jets or Miami Dolphins, seem to care about defense whatsoever.
Through three and half quarters, the Jets and Dolphins combined for 800-plus total yards, including huge plays from both teams.
Geno Smith has already thrown for 330-plus yards and three of touchdowns.
What is the world coming to? If he could have only played like that for the majority of the season, the Jets might not be in line for a top five pick in the draft.
Dolphins running back Lamar Miller opened the second half with the longest run in Dolphins history, a 97-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, putting him on pace to surpass 200 rushing yards in the game.
That run also put Lamar Miller over 1,000 yards on the season!
One minute after Miller’s run, Eric Decker hauled in this monster 74-yard touchdown reception from Geno Smith. Decker also has more than 200 receiving yards in the game.
The offensive explosion comes as quite a surprise for the Dolphins and Jets, as each team is ranked in the top 10 in fewest yards allowed this season.
