Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III threw a 69-yard touchdown to DeSean Jackson against the Dallas Cowboys.
Robert Griffin III has had one of the most up-and-down seasons of any player in recent NFL history, but has found a way to bounce back and finish the year as the starter. Today against the Dallas Cowboys, he is looking to cement himself once again as the lead candidate to start at quarterback next season.

That is exactly what he did early on in the first quarter against Dallas, finding wide receiver DeSean Jackson for a 69-yard touchdown pass.
These are the types of plays that Griffin didn’t show early on in the season, and the injured ankle put him back as well. He was the backup quarterback for a brief stint when he came back to Colt McCoy, but he is showing that he belongs in the starting lineup. If he keeps this play up throughout the rest of the game, he will likely cement himself as next years season opening starter.

Needless to say, this would be very good news for Washington if he can continue the type of play that he has started off with this afternoon. They need him to come through as their franchise quarterback, and figure out how to get his career back on track.
