The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are slowly saying goodbye to Marcus Mariotta as they’re winning their way out of the No. 1 pick.

Fans of bad teams pay attention to records at the end of the season as well. They want to see if their favorite team is in respective position to get a good draft pick. Going into Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in position to secure the number one pick with a loss against the New Orleans Saints. Don’t tell the players that as the Bucs have come out firing on all cylinders taking it to a deflated Saints team whose postseason chances came to an end last week when they lost against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got the game started with a field goal and Josh McCown finding rookie stud reciever Mike Evans for a touchdown. After the Saints answered back with a touchdown of their own, the Bucs quelled any New Orleans momentum as running back Charles Sims found in his way into the end zone to increase the Buccaneers lead over New Orleans.

Both teams seasons are over and perhaps the Buccaneers throwing away the number one pick might make a lot of fans unhappy, but no team wants to end their season with a loss and it looks like Tampa Bay has no regard for where their pick might lie.
