More from NFL

Here in Week 17 of the NFL regular season, we’re beginning to see the entire playoff picture take shape, Now that the late afternoon games are over, we know a little more about what the picture looks like.

Most notably from the late afternoon games was the Carolina Panthers going down to Atlanta and absolutely thrashing the Falcons 34-3 to capture the NFC South title. The NFC South might have been one of the worst divisions in the history of thee league this year, but someone eventually had to punch a playoff ticket, and that team was the Panthers.

Also, the Green Bay Packers were able to take care of the Detroit Lions and claim the NFC North title for the second straight season. With that, the Packers will get to take a week off next weekend, while the Lions will visit the Cowboys.

A far as the AFC, we still have the Steelers and Bengals needing to do battle Sunday night to see what that complete picture is, but for now, here is a look at the NFL Playoff standings following the Week 17 late afternoon games.
