Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo

There will be those that say that DeMarco Murray or Dez Bryant is the most important key for the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff chance, but their fate rests solely on the arm of  Tony Romo.

Obviously the Cowboys are going to get big performances from Murray and Bryant, but they need Romo to come through with consistent games in order to force defenses to continue respecting the passing game. Romo has had quite a few people hating on him throughout the entire season about his collapses of the past, but he doesn’t appear to be the same player this season.

Dallas figures to be a legitimate threat to make a run in the NFC, but they’ll need their 6’2″ undrafted quarterback out of Northern Illinois to come through for them. He ended up throwing for 3,705 yards, 34 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

Romo is looking to make his first ever playoff run and is trying to bring a long-awaited championship back to Dallas. At 34 years of age this might very well be his best chance, and he can’t afford to come up empty this time around. He is going to be asked to come through for his team and prove that the monkey is off of his back.
