Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the team in jersey sales for the 2014 season.

The Green Bay Packers are heading into the NFL Playoffs as the second overall seed in the NFC, and are coming off of a huge win over the Detroit Lions. Aaron Rodgers has once again played MVP caliber football, and many expect to see him end up winning the award.

According to the NFL Jersey Report, which tracks the sales of all NFL jersey’s from DICK’s Sporting Goods, Rodgers led the Packers in jersey sales for the 2014 season.

That doesn’t come as much of a surprise for the franchise player of one of the most passionate fan bases in the entire NFL. Rodgers ended up finishing the season at number seventeen on the list, and was behind Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles, Cam Newton, Joe Flacco, Johnny Manziel, and Tom Brady as far as quarterbacks are concerned.

Rodgers is helped in jersey sales by the fact that the Packers are one of the most loved teams with quite possibly the most diehard fan base in football. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL currently, and is working his way up the list of all-time quarterbacks as well.

His popularity is certainly high, and the Packers’ success with him at the helm has helped his jersey sales soar. Green Bay fans have a lot of different jersey’s to choose from, but Rodgers is by far the most popular.

All of that being said, it is a bit surprising that players like Luke Kuechly and Jason Pierre-Paul had more jersey sales than Rodgers. It just goes to show that the NFL is an ever changing world as far as fans purchases are concerned, but Rodgers is still in the top-20 which is good news for Packers fans.
