The Jacksonville Jaguars struggled through another NFL season finishing with the third worst record in the league. The upside is that they’ll get another top draft pick to try and get a piece to help bolster the team and get them out of the cellar of the AFC South.

Last year the Jaguars took Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles with that pick, and according to the Jersey Report, which tracks the sales of NFL jerseys at DICK’s Sporting Goods stores around the nation and online, he led the team in sales.

It could be considered a good sign that the Jaguars fan base is throwing their weight and support behind Bortles early in his career, of course what other Jaguars player’s jersey would they by.

On a list of the top selling jerseys in the NFL, Bortles comes in 51st. He is the only Jaguars player to crack the top 100 of all NFL players, and the Indianapolis Colts had their punter crack the list at 68th.

This might not be so surprising, but the Jaguars were one of the worst teams in the league in terms of jersey sales. As a franchise they came in 29th in the league coming up just ahead of the St. Louis Rams.

It is somewhat shocking that the Rams came in behind the Jaguars, a team that is perennially bad with a lack of star players. The Rams have some stars and have been a solid team in recent years despite playing in a tough division. That could be why the Rams are consistently linked with relocation rumors. The Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans also trail the Jaguars in jersey sales.

If the Jaguars can hit a home run with their topic pick this year, like Bortles, they might be able to climb this list in the 2015 season and someone might join Bortles inside the top 100.
