While the Bears as a team didn’t have the best campaign in 2014, Brandon Marshall was doing outstanding in the jersey sales department.

The Chicago Bears did not have the season they wanted to have in 2014, although it wasn’t all failure for some members of the team. Most notably, it was a pretty outstanding season for wide receiver Brandon Marshall as it pertains to the number of people that bought his jersey.

According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Marshall was the top-selling jersey among all the wide receivers in the league. To make matters that much better, Marshall was also in the top 10 of overall sales in the league.

This is definitely quite the accomplishment, especially considering that wide receiver is one of the more flashier positions in the game. Players at the wide receiver position generally tend to sell a lot of jerseys, so ending the season on the top of the list is a pretty nice deal.

As you can see not too far down, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown came in at a somewhat close second.

But the story here is that Marshall was able to maintain his popularity, despite his team falling off the wagon this season, as well as the struggles that his quarterback, Jay Cutler, went through. But, as we’ve found out throughout the years, Bears fans are very loyal to the players that play the hardest for them, and there might not be a harder working member of the Bears than Marshall.

Heading into next season, Marshall should be on the top of the list again. Although, should Brown have some big performances in the playoffs, somewhere that Marshall won’t be, he could have some competition.
