Eli Manning failed to get the New York Giants to the playoffs this year, but he did manage to help boost the team’s jersey sales.
The New York Giants will not be going to the postseason this year and there were rumors that head coach Tom Coughlin could be gone at the end of the year. But everything seemed to work out for the Giants anyways, as the team has a bright future and fans have completely bought into what is being built.

It was a rough start to the season, but jersey sales continued to build throughout as Giants fans never stopped supporting their team. Eli Manning finished the season with the No. 10 best selling jersey in the NFL and lead the team in overall sales as a result, according to DICK’s Jersey Report. He was followed very closely though by another teammate of his, as Odell Beckham Jr is a star in New York and sales of his jersey accurately reflect this.
Beckham finished the season with the No. 7 best selling rookie jersey among new players in the NFL this season, but despite his late season push for Rookie of the Year and his spectacular performances, he wasn’t the best selling wide receiver on the team. That honor went to Victor Cruz, who missed basically the entire year with an injury but managed to rank No. 19 among all players in the NFL in jersey sales.
There is a lot of hope in New York that the Giants will once again return to a Super Bowl caliber level, as they’re just a few years removed from winning their second Super Bowl under Eli Manning’s watch. That’s why he remains so popular as while the team can be as bad as they’ve been the last two years, fans know they’re just a few plays away from turning it on for a Super Bowl run.
