The NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers dropped to 18-12 after blowout loss at the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night
When you lose to the Detroit Pistons I’m not sure you can come out of that game thinking anything but you’re not a very good team. For Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, he is no exception after losing 103-80 to the Pistons on Sunday night in Detroit.

The Cavaliers at one point lead the game by 15 points but were dominated and outscored by 20 points in the second half to give the Pistons their seventh win of the season. The loss dropped the Cavs to 18-12 on the season.
When you have high expectations like the Cavs do, you can’t go on the road and lose by 23 to a team that is just getting their seventh victory short of New Years Day. You aren’t going to win them all but teams with championship aspirations can not lose to bottom feeders like that.
Things like that will happen though. The thing is how do the Cavs react to that loss? They get to follow that up with playing the 22-8 Atlanta Hawks.
Per SI.com via Cleveland.com though, James couldn’t have been more correct in his assessment. The Cavs have things they need to work on. They have a lot of room for improvement.
"But right now, we’re just not very good in every aspect of the game that we need to be to compete every night"
It takes a full effort from everyone no matter who you are playing. Teams like Detroit will get their wins here and there, you just don’t expect them against teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and by 23 points.
