Despite a disappointing 5-11 season, Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman believes that he will return to the team in 2015.
The Chicago Bears were a disaster in 2014.

Their offense struggled despite head coach Marc Trestman being an alleged offensive guru, and their defense left a lot to be desired. Because of the team falling so short of expectations, it is widely believed that there will be some big changes in the franchise this offseason.
However, Trestman seems to believe his job is safe and he expects to return to the Windy City.
“I don’t have to go into the reasons that I expect to be back. I couldn’t look at it any other way or with any other kind of focus. My plan is to continue to finalize my notes now that the season is over and make sure that if the opportunity arises, I’ll be able to explain how we fix this thing. Because we have to get better,” Trestman said, via the Chicago Tribune.
“Nobody understands the situation better than I do. I’ve lived it every day for the last two years. And certainly the last six months. So I think I have some expertise in that area. And putting my thoughts down, I don’t think there’s anybody in a better position to assess it other than myself or Phil.”
Bears fans have not been pleased with Trestman’s showing since taking over as the team’s head coach and it would be a surprise if he returned to the sidelines.
That said, you never know what is going through the minds of decision makers, so Chicago could surprise the rest of the NFL.
