NFL: 5 Easiest Roads to the Super Bowl
By Ryan Ratty
1. Seattle Seahawks
For the second straight season, the Seahawks are playing their best football at the best time. It’s crazy to think that there was a time in 2014 that the Seahawks were 3-3. The Seahawks have won six straight games and they have won nine out of their last 10 games. Over the past six weeks, the Seahawks have given up a total of 39 points, which is an average of seven points per game over the past six games. That’s just simply ridiculous. Add in the fact that they are the No. 1 seed and have home-field advantage until the Super Bowl, and it is easy to see why they have the easiest road to the big game.
I’m well aware that the Cowboys went up to Seattle and simply manhandled them using their rushing attack, but despite that, the Seahawks are a different team than they were in Week 5. Seattle is first in the league in opponent passing yards allowed at just 185 yards per game and they are in third in the league in opponent rushing yards allowed at 84 yards per game. Seattle can have lulls on the offensive side of the ball, but with how well their defense is playing, all the Seahawks need to do on the offensive side of the ball is to just not turn the football over.
