Losers: Cleveland Browns

Oh, what could have been if the Cleveland Browns had done a few things differently?

After taunting the fans with a very good first three-quarters of the season, the Browns collapsed in the final quarter. On top of that you have Josh Gordon acting up again per ESPN and Johnny Manziel being hunted down by security when he didn’t show up at the facility following a big party Friday night per The Big Lead.

Both are in the dog house with the team now according to CBS Sport’s Jason LaCanfora.

If only they had grabbed one of the three great receivers sitting there with their first pick, instead of trading out (missing on Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans) and selecting Justin Gilbert instead of Odell Beckham Jr. Heck, they didn’t even draft one wide receiver after they discovered Gordon would be suspended.

Now they may move on from Josh Gordon and have missed out on one of the best receiver classes leaving them with as many questions at the position as they had this offseason.

While you can’t be sure that the addition of another wide receiver would have been the difference in a playoff appearance – after all, losing center Alex Mack was what did them in as much as anything else – but this is a team which looked like a contender.

What could they have done last offseason that would have pushed them over the top?
