Should the Knicks shut Carmelo Anthony down for the rest of the NBA season?

If anyone managed to see the latest game the New York Knicks played against the Portland Trail Blazers then they saw two franchises that are complete opposites of each other.

The Trail Blazers are a team that moves the basketball around the perimeter looking for great shots. They have a great bench and their best player is a player that normally makes the right decisions on the basketball court. The New York Knicks on the other hand are in shambles.

The Knicks play one on one basketball a lot, actually too much for a team who’s supposed to use the triangle offense to win games. They aren’t disciplined, and their star player isn’t healthy. Forward Carmelo Anthony is suffering from a undisclosed injury in his left knee. In fact, against the Trail Blazers, Anthony couldn’t finish the game because of his knee.

With the Knicks in the middle of having a terrible season, there’s no reason to play Anthony anymore.
