Fantasy Basketball: What To Do With Bradley Beal
By Dave Fuqua
Bradley Beal has recently been heating up and helping fantasy basketball teams. Beal has been, in my opinion, one of the more over-valued players in fantasy basketball for some time now, particularly in keeper and dynasty leagues. However, with his recent battles with injuries and some underwhelming performances, he has managed to disappoint some of his current owners.

This is typically what I like to look for is when players are struggling and not living up to the usually lofty expectations that over-zealous owners like to place on guys like this. If you are looking for the next Michael Jordan, you are not going to find him with Brad Beal. However, if you are looking for a guy that you might be able to get at a reasonable price to add to your team, then this just might be the guy you would want to target in a trade.
On Monday night, Beal dropped 33 points with 3 assists, 5 boards and 5 three pointers. Those are great numbers, particularly if you play in a cats league. With the Wizards a sure contender to make some noise in the playoffs this year, I look for Beal to play through any injury problems he might have this year and hopefully take that jump to the next level. I am not saying he will be Stephen Curry next year, but there are always guys who take that step to the next level.
One thing we know for sure is that Beal is loaded with talent, and he is not shy about taking jumpers from almost anywhere on the court. Take a gamble on this young, talented player with confidence and expect it to pay off with some fantasy goodness. Beal is a fairly safe gamble in a keeper or a dynasty league being that usually even if he winds up injured, you will be able to find a guy in your league who is willing to dish you some talent as he builds his keepers for next season.
