One enormously lucky couple stumbles upon Rose Bowl tickets at their own home.
Everybody is familiar with this statement ‘if I had didn’t have bad luck then I would have no luck at all.‘ It’s one of the most famous line uttered by pessimists from all over the world.
If Dave Shelman and his wife Kathy were pessimists before last week, then they should quickly adjust their line of thinking.
While the couple from Oregon was unloading the car after grocery shopping last Friday, they stumbled upon a Rose Bowl ticket lying on their car while in their garage. As of this morning, the cheapest ticket was going for $150 on StubHub.
From KGW of Portland:
"“It was weird because, in order to land there, someone would have had to come in and drop it,” he said. “We couldn’t figure out how it would land on the car.”"
Wile most people living in the great state of Oregon would run alongside Forrest Gump to get to the game on New Years Day, the Shelman’s don’t plan on using it.
The couple is currently on the search of returning the ticket to its rightful owner. Should they fail, they’ll sell the ticket and donate the money to charity.
If the ticket somehow goes unused, then the seat will be one of very few empty ones in the monstrous stadium which seats 92,542.
In two short days newly-minted Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and the Oregon Ducks will take on Jameis Winston and his defending champion Florida State Seminoles for the right to play in the National Championship.
