Gary Kubiak is amongst at least four men the New York Jets expect to interview for their head coaching vacancy
The New York Jets have already complied a short list of men they would like to interview for their head coaching vacancy that was created with the firing of Rex Ryan. One of those men is Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak. Of course the Jets have to follow all of the NFL rules when it comes to interviewing for head coaches but their short list takes care of that too.

It really comes as no surprise that Kubiak would end up on some teams lists as a possible candidate to become a head coach again. He was fired as Houston Texans head coach after a 2-14 2013 season. Kubiak coached the Texans from 2006-2013.
I guess the biggest question would be does Kubiak want back in as a head coach only one year removed from that stress. If you remember, he collapsed at halftime of the Texans game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Kubiak won’t be the only candidate to be interviewed though. He is up against some other highly sought after names. The list so far includes Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Seattle Seahawks offensive line and assistant head coach Tom Cable, and San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich.
That’s some pretty good company but Kubiak’s Ravens offensive unit had a decent regular season. The Baltimore Ravens were ranked 12th in offense in the NFL in 2014. In his short time in Houston, Kubiak’s offense was the top-ranked offense three times. If there is something the Jets could use, it’s a little bit of offense.
