Washington Redskins‘ general manager Bruce Allen believes that his team is “winning off the field” despite reaching the end of another disastrous NFL season.
There are varying degrees of misery for NFL fan bases. At the present moment, the Washington Redskins have got to be near the top of the list when it comes to putting their fans through the worst of it, at least over the last two seasons.

What makes the Washington professional football team stand out from the rest is the fact that their ineptitude comes with an especially delusional flourish. That out-of-touch approach comes thanks to the combination of owner Dan Snyder and general manager Bruce Allen.
In his 2014 season debriefing, Allen took the podium and offered an optimistic view of the state of the franchise. While acknowledging that the 4-12 record from this past regular season is not good, Allen seems to believe that doesn’t count for everything. Somehow. In a league that is always known as a bottom line league.
According to Bruce Allen, his Washington football team is “winning off the field.” Now they just have to win “on the field.” If you’re confused, good. You should be, and that means you are in touch with reality.

Maybe Bruce Allen is playing a game that nobody else knows about. Maybe Allen and the Washington football team are playing a game where they are trying to be the most delusional. Maybe nobody else knows about it, but Washington is definitely winning.
