Before the 2014-15 NBA season started, the January 2nd game between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks held little to no meaning for fans. It was basically just your run-of-the-mill inter-conference matchup.
Three weeks ago all of that changed when Danny Ainge and the Celtics provided Rajon Rondo a one-way ticket to Dallas.

As the teams play on late in the third quarter, Rondo’s Mavs currently hold a double-digit lead over the Celtics. Rondo has increased his total to 22 points to go along with three assists and four rebounds.
