The Arizona Cardinals offense not only had a bad outing on Saturday, they had the worst in NFL playoff history.

Although they were the team with the better record, not many people were giving the Arizona Cardinals much of a chance on Saturday in their NFC Wild Card match up with the Carolina Panthers. Aside from the fact that they had to go on the road, they were going into the most crucial time of the season with a third-string quarterback in Ryan Lindley. With this, many saw the Arizona offense struggling.

But, no one maybe saw them struggling this badly.

The Cardinals did end up dropping the game to the Panthers 27-16, and yes, the offense was a huge part of the problem. How much of a problem? Well, with their 77 yards total in the game, the Cardinals have posted the worst offensive yardage numbers in the illustrious history of the NFL Playoffs.

No, you read that very much correctly. 77 yards was all that was posted.

Again, seeing the Cardinals struggling was one thing. However, you never expect a team that won 11 games on the season, regardless of who is under center, not breaking 100 yards in a game.

Lindley was not all that effective, as expected, going 16-of-28 for just 81 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

But with this, a lot of credit has to also be given to the defense of the Carolina Panthers. They were able to force a lot of mistakes, and while their job was rather easy in rattling a third-string signal caller, they did what they had to do in the end to get the win and advance.
