The Carolina Panthers only need to stay out of their own way in their Wild Card game against the Cardinals, but the mistakes just keep happening.
All the Carolina Panthers need to do is stay out of their own way in the NFC Wild Card round and let the quarterback-less Arizona Cardinals make the mistakes. That hasn’t been the case though, as the largely anonymous Cardinals are capitalizing on mistakes that are killing the Panthers.

One of those mistakes came on a terrible Cam Newton interception that stunted a drive that could have ended in points.
Rather than keep the drive going, Cam Newton threw one of his worst interceptions ever which was almost returned for a touchdown by Antonio Cromarite.
It’s not that Newton threw the interception, which was bad enough, it’s that he threw it to a receiver who had no idea the ball was even coming. Antonio Cromartie saw the pass coming from a mile away an almost took it to the house. The mistakes continue to pile up for the Panthers and while the interception wasn’t returned for a touchdown, it led to one that ended up giving the Cardinals the lead.
