Every football player has their odd routine during the game and Cam Newton is no different.

As we’ve found out throughout the years, football players all have their routines to help them feel a little more comfortable in pressure situations. Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is no different, and while he seems not that much out of the ordinary, it’s a little interesting, to say the least.

During the Panthers’ Wild Card game on Saturday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals, the camera just happened to catch a glimpse of Cam before he got under center, and well, let’s just say that he wanted to take it all in.

The smell of his fingers, that is.

Again, that’s not the weirdest thing that we have ever seen on a football field, but it’s something just a tad out of the ordinary.

But whatever the case may be, the superstition seems to work a little bit, as the Panthers currently hold a 27-14 lead over the Cardinals late in the third quarter.
