It has been a great past couple of days to be a fan of the Oregon Ducks who will play for the national title in college football and that goes for Oregon alums as well as Jonathan Steward looks like a man possessed in the opening quarter of the Carolina Panthers Wild Card game.

More from Carolina Panthers

Stewart ran hard in the final four games of the regular season as the Panthers ground game picked up steam with a pair of 100-yard games and an average of 109.25 yards per game. After one quarter of play against the Arizona Cardinals in the first playoff game of the year, Steward is nearly halfway to his average.

The former Ducks back who was the first round pick of the Panthers in the 2008 draft scored the first touchdown of the postseason on this 13 yard run where he broke a pair of weak tackle attempts from Cardinal defenders to hit paydirt.

Stewart’s 13-yard touchdown run gave the Panthers a 10-0 lead after Graham Gano booted a 48-yard field goal on the team’s first series.

Carolina currently holds a 10-7 lead in the opening minutes of the second quarter and you can watch the remainder of the game on ESPN.
