Really, this entire season has been propped up on the shoulders of lesser known players trying to make their mark and that has extended into the postseason with some unknown players making big name plays.

Fozzy Whittaker, who is on his fourth team in his NFL career after going undrafted, scored his first playoff touchdown on Saturday afternoon in a momentum changing catch and run screen play.

Whitaker isn’t a star for the Panthers but he’s one of their unlikely contributors who have helped get Carolina to where they are now. It hasn’t been wan easy ride for Whitaker in his NFL career but this season hasn’t been easy for the Panthers either as they finished the season with only 7 wins and are fighting to keep their season alive.

The Cardinals are the talk of the NFL for willing their way into the postseason despite adversity but it’s the Panthers showing that there is no way to predict the NFL as just about anyone can step up at any given time.
