Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is ready for the playoffs and says he lives for these kind of moments.

The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs on Sunday. Both teams have pitiful postseason records as of late and are trying to get that monkey off their back.

One of the more interesting storylines of the game is the show down between two of the games most dominant wide receivers in the Cowboys’ Dez Bryant and the Lions’ Calvin Johnson.

Bryant has had a huge season and an arguably even bigger role in the Cowboys’ success, particularly over the final three games of the season when he caught 15 passes for 286 yards and six touchdown passes. That stretch of wins helped the Cowboys lock down the NFC East crown and a playoff spot.

Bryant is ready for the playoffs, his first taste of the post season in his young NFL career. He feels even more prepared for the Lions’ secondary.

“Nine times out ten I know I’m feeling better than the guy across from me,” Bryant said in an interview with NFL Media’s Michael Irvin. “I feel like I live for this, I want to be in these kind of moments.”

Hard to argue with that level of confidence from a player who set a franchise record for touchdowns in a season with 16.

The Lions aren’t exactly weak in the secondary. They’re in the bottom half of the league in terms of passing yards allowed. They’re also in the top 10 when it comes to sacks and 11th when it comes to touchdowns allowed.

Still, Bryant thinks it might not be about the Lions secondary as much as the offense clicking.

“Whenever everybody is on the same page and we all want the same thing, I think it’s just hard to beat a team like that,” he said.
