Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford channeled his inner Michael Vick in the first quarter of the team’s playoff matchup vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is known for having a big arm. What he’s not known for is his rushing ability.

However, one wouldn’t know that watching what Stafford did in the first quarter of the Lions’ NFC Wild Card matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Stafford turned a third-and-long into a first down with a fantastic run that saw him absorb a hit and keep going.

Stafford’s first down helped extend a drive that ultimately ended in an 18-yard rushing touchdown from Reggie Bush.

Stafford has been outstanding early, throwing a 51-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate and leading Detroit on the 99-yard drive that Bush capped off.

It’s an impressive performance from Stafford after a down season from the quarterback, as he threw 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Stafford also rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on 43 attempts in the regular season.
