The 15-year old daughter of Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchack has died after a long battle with an illness.

It’s a sad day in Laker Land, as general manager Mitch Kuchack is reeling following the death of his 15-year old daughter after she bravely battled a disease. Alina Kupchack died after battling an undisclosed illness for the recent part of her life, and the entire NBA is feeling the loss of such a young and promising life.
Bill Oram from the Orange County Register was the firs to report the death of Alina Kupchack.

There was then an outpouring support for the Kupchack family following the news of the death of his daughter at such a young age.

Her death comes a day after the loss of Stuart Scott, who died of cancer following a lengthy battle of his own. The loss of Scott, who was 49-yeard old, coupled with the loss of young Alina at age 15, goes to show that while we’ve made a lot of progress in fighting diseases, we still have a very long way to go.
