The troubled college career of Dorial Green-Beckham is over as he has declared for the 2015 NFL Draft.

There was once a time when it appeared as though wide receiver Dorial Green-Backham could be the best receiver in college football, but he got into his own way and ruined what could have been a splendid career. Green-Beckham lost his entire 2014 season due to off-filed troubles that caused him to transfer from Missouri to Oklahoma but he will never get the chance to play a single down for the Sooners.

Sooners head coach Bob Stoops confirmed in a press conference on Tuesday that Dorial Green-Beckham will be entering the 2015 NFL Draft.

It’s been a rough ride for Green-Beckham in his college career, as he was forced to transfer from Missouri to Oklahoma after getting into trouble with the Mizzou program. He lost his entire 2014 season as a result of the transfer, despite efforts by Bob Stoops and the Sooners to get the NCAA to allow Dorial Green-Beckham eligibility.

Had he played in the 2014 season, it’s very possible that his draft stock would be higher than it is, as he currently grades out as a top wide receiver prospect but not a top tier talent. Amari Cooper will be the first wide receiver off the board, but while Dorial Green-Beckham may have once challenged him as the best receiver in the class, he won’t be on the board long after Cooper is gone.
