The Hawks are taking Tinder Night very seriously

In case you somehow have not heard by this point, the Atlanta Hawks are having a Tinder theme during tonight’s home game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

"The Atlanta Hawks are encouraging fans to use the people-connecting mobile app Tinder to transform Philips Arena into the premier social networking hub in the NBA. “Swipe Right Night” will take place on Jan. 7, when the Eastern Conference-leading Hawks welcome the Memphis Grizzlies to town for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff."

For those unaware, Tinder is an app on your phone that you can download and then it shows you profiles of people that you would like to talk to. If you swipe left it shows you a new person and if you swipe right it will give you a chat screen to initiate a conversation with that person.

Of course, when NBA teams have big events like this there needs to be security to make sure everybody is behaving themselves throughout the event. Of course, because the Hawks have a sense of humor they knew the perfect way to make sure attendees knew who was keeping watch over them but to not take away from the experience at all.

Whenever anybody is misbehaving, the “Swipe Left Patrol” will be there to keep peace. Of course, the Hawks have to be willing to give away one of these awesome shirts right?

NOOOOOO. WHY HAWKS! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!? That’s it, I take back every nice thing I have ever said about the Hawks. They stink at marketing, the team is a bunch of frauds, and it’s all because they won’t let us bloggers win a Swipe Left shirt.
