Eight teams are left standing in the NFL right now — which teams provide the best matchups for Super Bowl XLIX?

Super Bowl XLIX becomes closer and closer everyday, and I think there is a combination of four teams that would make the absolute best matchups – and a couple of other teams that the world wouldn’t mind watching.

The Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, and Pittsburgh Steelers were all knocked out of the playoffs last weekend, but let’s be honest, none of them were true contenders and no one – besides their fans – were rooting for them to be in the Super Bowl.

This weekend is totally different.

Saturday brings us the Baltimore Ravens at the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers at the Seattle Seahawks.

No disrespect to the Ravens or Panthers, but I really don’t think their presence in the Super Bowl would mean much for anyone. Sure, they are two good teams that could put on a good show, but they aren’t pushing the ratings.

And the Patriots and Seahawks, well, people want them in the last game of the NFL season.

Saturday’s games should be good, but Sunday will be football bliss with the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts at the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos and Packers have been on the short-list of most Super Bowl predictions, and I don’t think many people would complain about seeing the Cowboys or Colts.

I know this is all subjective, but these are my top matchups for Super Bowl XLIX.
