Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a “slight tear” in his calf muscle as they prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys this week.
The health of Aaron Rodgers is the primary concern for the Green Bay Packers as they prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He is dealing with a major calf strain, and Adam Schefter confirmed today that he also has a “slight tear” in the calf.

Without Rodgers, the Packers wouldn’t stand much of a chance of knocking off the Cowboys. Rodgers is what makes their offense run, and Matt Flynn isn’t even close to a similar option.
Rodgers ended up throwing for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Green Bay’s offense has been a bit inconsistent this year as a whole, but that hasn’t been Rodgers’ fault outside of the Buffalo Bills’ game.

Green Bay fans have already been worried enough about Rodgers over the past couple of weeks, but this news will have them even more worried.
He seems confident that he will be good to go on Sunday afternoon, and that is what matters. There is always a chance that the calf gives way and tears the rest of the way, but the two weeks of rest that he will have gotten between Week 17 and Sunday’s game will be huge for him.
That being said, it’s still going to weigh on the minds of every fan and member of the Packers’ coaching staff. Dallas is going to do everything they can to put pressure on Rodgers and force him to use his legs, and every bit of stress that he puts on it will make an injury more likely. Green Bay’s offensive line has to come through with a big game to protect their quarterback.
Sunday is going to be a very entertaining game between two high-powered offenses, and it is going to be extremely cold at Lambeau Field. Expect to see a very close game that comes down to the wire between two quality football teams.
