The Milwaukee Bucks may not be the best team in the NBA, but they have a T-Shirt gun that will kill you.

How does a team that’s 19-18 and 6th in the NBA’s Eastern Conference excite its fan base? The Bucks tried in the offseason, bringing in Jasod Kidd as their head coach and drafting Jabari Parker out of Duke with the second overall pick. When all else fails, bring out the big gun — a monstrous t-shirt cannon.

Darren Rovell, ESPN’s infamous sports business reporter, posted the photo earlier this morning, which shows the Bucks’ mascot Bango firing the cannon into the crowd. According to Rovell, the gun will be used to shoot cold-weather gear into the stands starting Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Bucks have partnered with Weatherproof, a cold-weather clothing brand, and will use the Gatling-gun t-shirt cannon to launch the company’s products to excited fans. All of the apparel will be branded with the Bucks logo, the Weatherproof insignia, and the team’s slogan, “Fear the Deer”.

This season, the Bucks have already won 5 more games than they did in all of 2013. Though Jabari Parker tore his ACL on December 15th against the Phoenix Suns, the team has followed Brandon Knight to 19 wins. Knight is the team leader in points per game at 18.2 and assists per game at 5.1.

After completing a trade with the Nets in July of last year, the Bucks hired Jason Kidd as their head coach, per ESPN. The Bucks gave away two second-round picks, one in 2015 and one in 2019, to acquire Kidd. So far, the move appears to be a success. The Bucks are on track for their best season in years, ranking 9th in the league in points allowed per game.

However, the team is far away from contending for an NBA Championship. New ownership under Marc Lasry and Wes Edens has infused the team with a new energy, but Milwaukee appears to be heading for a playoff berth and first-round elimination. Losing Parker, who was averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 assists per game, was a difficult blow for a young team already trying to find its way under a new head coach.

Fans may not have a lot to look forward to this season, but cheering crowds can always try to catch a t-shirt from the Bucks’ monstrous cannon — a cannon that can fire 120 pieces of clothing in a matter of seconds.
